That boy ...
Huh.
I have to admit, I didn't expect him to own up to it. That takes guts. More guts than any of the rest of these spineless yahoos have got. Maybe he is just looking to get thrown a bone, but that's a hell of a lot of pride to swallow, in any case.
Eh. I miss the kid, somedays. He was something. I haven't felt actually close to a real person in a long time. Since his grandmother died, at least. I miss that. I do.
Still, I don't much like the thought of being played. He wants his way out of the service, and might tell an orange it's blue so long as he gets that.
Maybe a bit of a test?
